Morgana’s Grand Opening

Morgana is a quality manufacturer of various production machines for the digital printing industry. With Morgana’s specialties in folding, creasing, perfect binding and other finishing processes they were a perfect fit for a distribution partnership with Mid-State Litho. The AutoCreaser Pro and DigiFold Pro have been core machines for print production facilities from all over Europe and North America with all distribution and support coming from their UK headquarters. This year, North American US headquartered support just became reality.

Announcing the opening of their new facility, Morgana invited all dealers to their US based grand opening located in Rochester, New York and MSL’s Steven Barrett and Shawn Libert were in attendance.

The New Facility

Morgana’s new facility is a training center; showroom; warehouse; technical support center and it will become the base for all of the company’s operations. What does this mean exactly? Having the technical center in the US will allow Morgana to better support and demonstrate the full range of binders and finishing equipment; a place to test customer applications; and a parts/supply distribution center that is geographically a lot closer than the UK and business hours that allow for greater ease of communication.

Equipment Showcase

In addition, Morgana showcased the features and benefits of the new AutoCreaser Pro 385 and DigiFold Pro 385. Both machines feature a deep pile feeder that allows stacking of up to 17.72” of paper to enable longer runs and a SmartStep table drop for fast loading of shorter runs.  The patented automated air separation system allows for greater production, by avoiding time spent by the operator adjusting the air system for optimal feed performance. The automated gap set system also gives the operator more time to box up finished pieces and to prepare the next job to be finished. With a simpler interface, the setup of jobs is quicker and more intuitive, allowing for faster setup times and less waste from incorrect programming.

Overall, the grand opening was a huge success and we extend a big thank you to our vendor partners and foresee a bright future for our industry!
