The New Morgana AutoCreaser Pro 33 sets the standard. The intuitive 7″ touch-screen that controls all the main functions. Using the screen is simplicity itself. Key in the sheet length (popular sizes are pre-set), touch the fold type for the finished product (letter, gate etc) and press the green button. The AutoCreaser Pro33 will automatically calculate where the creases need to be and set them accordingly.

As its name suggest the AutoCreaser Pro 50 is the ‘big brother’ of the AutoCreaser Pro 33. Offering the same features and benefits, it runs at the increased speed of 8,500 sheets per hour. The new PosiFeed feeding system that allows a large pile to be loaded and fed is used on the AutoCreaser Pro 50 (along with all of our suction fed machines).

The high-speed creasing and folding of the DigiFold Pro features new touch screen patented technology. IT takes sheet sizes 27.5″ x 15.1″ and handles material up to 0.015″ (approx 150lb cover)*, including laminated material and runs at 6000 sheets per hour. Perforating as standard. Vastly increased speed makes it viable for Litho Printers who suffer the same cracking as Digital Printers.

The ElectroCreaser is designed for the smaller printer or inplant, the ElectroCreaswer is available in 36 & 52cm widths with two creasing profiles. Easily set up to handle jobs needing multiple creases. Handles stock up to 0.015″ (approx 150lb cover)*.

The semi-automatic ElectroCreaser is the ideal unit for printers who need something faster than a manual creaser – such as the Morgana DocuCrease – but do not have the volume of work to justify a fully automated machine like the Morgana AutoCreaser.Creasing versus Scoring. Traditional rotary scoring machines use circular blades that are in constant motion as the stock passes through them. This creates a ploughing action that actually cuts through the top fibres of the paper or card in order to create a score. Inevitably this weakens the paper and encourages cracking. In contrast, the Morgana DocuCrease employs a unique creasing rule and matrix as illustrated overleaf, that eliminates tearing and, therefore, cracking.Key Product Features

The ElectroCreaser is ideal for the smaller printer or inplant. A compact, table-top unit, it is fast to set up and simplicity itself to operate.

Like other Morgana products, it employs a blade and matrix action which, unlike scoring, will not cause any damage to the substrate, and will produce a superb crease on stocks up to 0.015″ (approx 150lb cover)* including laminated material.

Unlike scoring, which can damage card or paper, the Morgana blade and matrix method ensures a clean sharp fold without damage to the substrate. It provides 2 creasing widths as standard, 0.04″ and 0.06″ – with the ability to change from one to another in seconds. It also has a special “Super Speed” stop system, which greatly simplifies jobs that call for multiple creases. The creasing matrix is electronically activated by a foot switch for increased accuracy and productivity.

2013 Quick Printing Readers’ Choice Top Products Awards

The inaugural Quick Printing Readers’ Choice Top Products Awards competition was conducted in early 2013. The goal was to gather opinions from print service providers about what they consider to be the most significant products introduced to the commercial printing industry between September 1, 2011 and December 31, 2012. We asked readers to vote for the products within each category that had the strongest impact on their businesses or created the most excitement in the industry.

The contest covered 21 categories, from digital color printers and offset presses to finishing equipment, inks, software, prepress, and mailing products. There was only one winner in each category.
